What We Do ?

We teach children and students in Bath, Yate, Swindon and the north of Bristol and our style of mixed martial arts is suitable for men and women, young and old, so you do not have to be a super-fit athlete to enjoy our sessions.
P.U.M.A is about more than just winning competitions and trophies – you will find yourself in a group with like-minded individuals, who will encourage and support your development as you train.
We train people in more than just mixed martial arts, whether you are beginners interested in finding out more about P.U.M.A for the first time, intermediate athletes who are wanting to improve your fitness, or advanced stars looking to take part in competitions.
Ultimately, the goals you work towards are your own, yet you will also work as part of a team.
You may want to learn in a self-defence class, increase your fitness levels or give yourself a sense of physical well-being. Taekwon-do is perfectly suited to all these aims and you can learn these skills in a safe and professional environment.

At P.U.M.A MartialArts you will learn:

If you want to enter any competitions, our expert tuition and guidance will be the perfect springboard to your success.

Testimonials

Emma Hall

“Amelia has found a hobby that she loves in tkd. The instructors are kind, understanding and supportive, but what we really love is the sense of community generated there. Everyone works together towards a common goal, and helps one another along that journey. A truly unique little club. We love it.”

John Hughes, First Degree

This is not about Tae Kwon Do in general but my experience of PUMA in particular. Where else could middle aged parents learn skills and train alongside their children as they develop through childhood and adolescence into adulthood? Where the ideas of mutual respect are so clearly espoused, and experienced? Where physical and mental challenges can be addressed, challenging oneself; but with the camaraderie of fellow students drawn from all walks of life never far away? So not only a complement to our parenting style through the years, but an activity we continue to enjoy (and occasionally endure) as adults together.”

Vanessa

Ruby says she loves taekwondo because it improves your strength, it’s fun and you meet new friends. Also, you become more focused and disciplined.

Philip Whitlock

I have trained in Master Gayle's Taekwon-do classes for 21 years, since I was 7 years old. His classes have not just guided and prepared me for life's various challenges, but it gave me a sense of purpose, and satisfaction that I couldn't imagine being without. It's also given me unique worldwide experiences, representing my school, and country in international competition.
